Pierre Le-Tan was a painter and draughtsman, he illustrated the american magazines, including the New Yorker , and the covers of the novels of Patrick Modiano (Folio). The two men were inseparable. They had also co-authored Memory Lane , and Blonde Doll. And the next book of The-Tan, the output of which is scheduled for November 6, is prefaced by the Nobel Prize for literature 2014, Paris of my youth (Stock).

about Modiano, Le-Tan told the Figaro the genesis of their meeting. “I knew him through his stories. And what it tells – the times, places, Paris… – talked to me a lot. One day, my father told me that he had known his parents. I then wrote a letter. Then, we met. The first time was in 1978. Our meeting and our conversations have led to two realizations ; in 1981, it has developed ensembleMemory Lane.” In 1983, they have designed a funny subject literary: blonde Doll, a sort of programme of a play… which, finally, has never been played!
