The deliberations of regional the Prix Goncourt of high-school Students, created and organized by the Fnac and the ministry of national Education and Youth, took place simultaneously on Monday, 12 November, in six cities of France.

After two months of readings devoted fifteen books in the running, from the first selection of the Academy Goncourt, high school delegates from each region have deliberated behind closed doors. There is a list of 5 novels finalists (in alphabetical order), among which figure the next winner of the Prix Goncourt of high school Students in 2018. There are as follows:

Meryem Alaoui, for The Truth comes from the Mouth of the horse (ed Gallimard)

Inès Bayard, the Misfortune of The down ” (ed Albin Michel)

Pauline Delabroy-Allard, to Ҫa tells Sarah (bachelor of Midnight)

Adeline Dieudonné, for Real Life (ed The Iconoclast)

David Diop, to soul Brother (ed Threshold)

It should be noted that four of the finalists (Alaoui, Bayard, Delabroy-Allard, Dieudonné) published for the first time and were included in the final price, Fnac finally awarded to Adeline Dieudonné. Which may dream to make the doubled Fnac Price/Prix Goncourt des Lycéens, the image of Gaël Faye in 2016 with Small Country (ed Grasset). The 13 students delegates (2 per region, plus one of the Francophonie, this year Québec), designated during these 6 deliberations in the regional, will meet in Rennes, the cradle of the Prize, to the great deliberation of national, Thursday, November 15. They will announce the winner at 12: 45 pm from the City hall of Rennes.

The Award ceremony will take place at 18: 30 at the Elysée palace in the presence of the ministers of national Education and Youth and Culture.

In 2017, the Goncourt des Lycéens ” Prize was awarded to Alice Zeniter for his novel, the fourth, The Art of Losing (ed Flammarion).
