There are more troubles which are faced by the organizers of Woodstock 50, the event that wants to celebrate the historic festival in 1969. After having lost their main source of funds, other partners, they are again false hope. Watkins Glen International, the race track on which was to be held this tribute, announced in a press release relayed by Pitchfork that she does not welcome Woodstock 50. Less than an hour after, it was the turn of the company in charge of a part of the logistics, CID Entertainment, to withdraw.

apparently the organizers remain peace and love. Gregory Peck, at the head of the organizing committee of the festival has reassured the public in a press release. “We are in talks with another place to host Woodstock 50 the 16 to the 18 of August and we are eager to communicate the news as soon as the tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks,” he writes.
The festival, which hopes to attract nearly 60,000 people, is supported by Michael Lang, co-producer of the original festival. There are a half-century, Lang had to face the same problem. Woodstock had been laid at the door of the Walkill, in the State of New York, a month before the holding of the event. It is at this time that the feast has been transferred to the dairy farm of Max Yasgur in Bethel, 75 kilometres from the city of Woodstock.

last April, the tribute to the festival of 1969 was very close to be cancelled. The japanese group Dentsu Aegis Network, primary financier, had withdrawn from the project. The organising committee had immediately denied the cancellation of the event, and had mentioned wanting to “bring new partners” financial in part.
The organizers have managed to put up a poster mixing voluntarily the musical styles, with more than 80 shows in the program. Jay-Z, Dead & Company (members of the Greatful Dead), Miley Cyrus and The Killers are expected, but also some artists of the edition of the original, like John Fogerty or the group Santana.
