But the presence of the most noted was that of Billy Dee Williams who, for more than 35 years after return of The Jedi, returns to the role of Lando Calrissian. At the age of 82, the actor arrived on stage to the aid of a cane, receiving an incredible ovation. “I didn’t expect to find this role in episode 9. The Rise of Skywalker: a title twilight

the First revelation of this new album galactic: the title. Entitled “The Rise of Skywalker”, he confirms the statements of J. J. Abrams who, in the preamble, was presented the episode 9 as of the end of the “saga Skywalker”. The voice of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) in the introduction to the trailer is also going in this direction, as the last appearance of Carrie Fisher in the film. It is also the first time in the history of the saga as a name of one of the characters is used in a title (with the exception of Solo: a Star Wars story that was a spin-off outside of the three trilogies). Proof is that the next saga will be done with new heroes. In addition, it will have to wait a few more weeks before the French translation, the official title could be “The ascent of Skywalker” or “The pinnacle of Skywalker”.

A trailer that says a lot

Presented by J. J Abrams as a teaser-trailer (a mix between a teaser usually short and a trailer for longer), the first images of The Rise of Skywalker have impressed an audience, be committed to the cause of Star Wars, but also the spectators. Rarely a first trailer launched 8 months before its theatrical release had revealed as much. Starting with the deep voice and haunting of Luke Skywalker in the opening. His words to the attention of Rey, the heroine of the trilogy (“We’ve passed our knowledge”, “More than 1000 generations of Jedi live in you”, “We shall always be with you”, “Person never goes away”) show that Luke, yet disappeared in episode 8, will be there one way or another in this new film. Another appearance is expected, that of princess Leia. Died at the end of the filming of the episode 8, the actress Carrie Fisher will be well in The Rise of Skywalker through the rushes of shooting not used. J. J. Abrams has confirmed that the images of the actress are indeed real images and not of the synthesis.

breathtaking footage, and an unexpected return

The sequence of Rey army of his laser sword (repaired for the occasion) and a tour in the desert of Jordan comes out visually of the lot. Just as the spatial sequences in which one finds Lando flying the Millennium Falcon. The character does not seem to hide his pleasure of flying in hyperspace. Other visual sequence magic: that of Rey, Finn and Poe-discovering an object giant, who lies buried in the ocean. Difficult to be categorical, but it could well be a piece of the infamous Black Star, which disappeared at the end of Return of the Jedi. Finally, the highlight of the show at the end of this trailer, with a laugh machiavellian as recognizable as a growl of Chewbacca: one of the Emperor Palpatine! Killed by Darth vader at the end of Return of the Jedi, the evil Sith lord would be back to complete the loop. In what form? No one yet knows. But the actor Ian McDiarmid has appeared by surprise on stage at the end of the trailer announcing his return. The Force always seems too powerful and, despite the critical reception mixed of episode 8, the Star Wars saga and has probably not said its last word.
