This is an extraordinary display, clear as crystal, as simple as a wire, uplifting as a demonstration of the magician. The Centre Pompidou pays tribute to fire Ellsworth Kelly (1923-2015), a leading figure of the abstraction including the use of minimalist shapes and colours has created a universe of poetry, disarming. The commissioner of this perfect record, Jean-Pierre Criqui, brought together for the first time the six works named Windows. Mythical icons in the museum, they were carried out by the young Ellsworth Kelly during his stay in France between 1948 and 1954.

All of his pictorial vocabulary. This process refined the idea and the form explains how the emotion comes to spouting this false geometry, these alliances of colours almost too simple, those contrasts that have the natural life. A broken window at the hotel de Bourgogne becomes a drawing of a spider (1949). Shadows of Belle-Île-en-Mer are sublimated and photographed by painter (1977).
