In Boston thinking about the demolition of the monument to Lincoln

In Boston to discuss the opportunity to demolish or rebuild the monument to President Abraham Lincoln, in which the country abolished slavery.

a Petition to remove the monument sent to the city authorities African American Tory Bullock. It was signed by over 8 thousand people. According to bullock, the monument is a distorted image of black people and does not display “racial equality,” according to

the Monument depicts a standing Lincoln, who stretched out his hand over the black man with broken shackles on his hands.

Lincoln signed a decree on the abolition of slavery in the United States in 1862.

Earlier in the British city of Bristol activists of the movement Black Lives Matter (“black Life matters”) demolished the monument to a slave trader Edward Colston.
