● A spring proustien on the side of Chartres, and a summer at the Sorbonne
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 may, under the high patronage of the Académie Goncourt, will be held at collegiate church of Saint-André of Chartres, a Spring proustien. The red thread of this book festival is presented threefold: Proust and his work, of course, the Goncourt and finally the edwardian Era. Under the high patronage of Bernard Pivot, a cast of celebrities has already promised to come: Véronique Aubouy, Jérôme Bastianelli, Evelyne Bloch-Dano, William Carter, Loïc Corbery, Camille Cottin, Luc Fraisse, Antoine Gallimard, Jean-Pierre Gibrat, Stéphane Heuet, Laure Hillerin and Anne and Yann Queffélec, the Trio George Sand, Jean-Yves Tadié and Kazayushi Yoshikawa.
Decidedly eclectic, The Sorbonne, after having booked an analysis of the art of Crooks in Clover , will be interested in the 24 and 25 June, Proust in organising a symposium, entitled In the shadow of young girls in flower, the prix Goncourt in 1919 . Under the aegis of Mireille Naturel, maître de conférences-HDR in French Literature at the university of the new Sorbonne, and Eugène Nicole, professor of French Literature at the city university of New York, the masterpiece is crowned by the académie Goncourt to be dissected through, in particular, its articulation with the first volume of In search of lost time . The augustus academics will discuss so of themes relevant to both the literary geography of the history of art (impressionist painting, seascapes, and normans), and the components of style (the definition of metaphor) and the genesis of the work.
