The musée du Quai Branly, Jacques Chirac, is dedicated to the first arts and dialogue of cultures, is going to make a tribute to president Chirac in opening its doors to the public free of charge during a period of ten days. This decision has just been announced by Stéphane Martin, the president of the institution.

This free access to the museum’s most dear to the heart of Jacques Chirac «will last for the time that people who want to pay tribute to him can do it,» pointed out Stéphane Martin.
The passion of Jacques Chirac
The musée du Quai Branly was born from the passion of Jacques Chirac for the arts and first peoples. This beautiful idea was in the head of the former president of the Republic (1995-2007) since his encounter with Jacques Kerchache, an art dealer specializing in african civilizations.
In 2006, the museum in paris was baptized with the name of the head of the State which had supported his weight his creation. True success, this museum, which borders the Seine now receives each year more than 1.2 million visitors.

This huge ship built on stilts, is surrounded by a lush garden of nearly two hectares. As an invitation to travel, the 169 trees and thirty species of plants thrive along trails and paths slabbed. The museum will now be for the French and the Parisians to the place of homage natural to the memory of president Chirac.
In homage to Jacques Chirac, the museum that bears his name in Sarran in Corrèze, will also be open free of charge Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10h to 19h.
