There is a relationship between the habit of regularly drinking coffee and the accumulation of various types of fat in the body. This thesis is reiterated by British scientists, the material published in The Journal of Nutrition.
According to experts, the coffee can contain biologically active compounds that regulate weight and can be used as a tool against obesity. As proof, scientists cited data from the National survey of health and nutrition U.S., which indicate that the average percentage of the total content of body fat by 2.8% lower in women who drink two or three cups of coffee a day.
For men this relationship is also observed, but to a small degree, experts said.
