The legend Prince continues. After the formalization of the publication of the memoirs, unfinished Kid’s of Minneapolis, his heirs have given their consent to the release, in June, a new album posthumously, including 14 previously unreleased tracks. A new announcement that occurs a few days after the anniversary date of the death of the singer, who died suddenly on the 21st April 2016 at age 57 died of an overdose of fentanyl, a painkiller 50 times stronger than heroin.

The project aims to highlight the creations that Prince has done for other artists. The album, entitled Originals , will also include recordings of work songs to become, subsequently, worldwide hits, recorded by other.
Manic Monday (Bangles), The Glamorous Life (Sheila E.), Nothing Compares 2 U (Sinead O’connor) or Love… Thy Will Be Done (Martika), which can be found on this new opus in their original version sung by Prince are all ranked in the top ten record sales in the United States.
Second album posthumous
This is the first official release of these demos, including versions circulated under the coat, for decades, with the exception of «Nothing Compares 2 U», which was already released officially in 2018. The pieces were selected by the producer Troy Carter, mandated by the heirs of Prince and Jay-Z, in collaboration with the record label Warner Bros.

throughout his career, Prince has accompanied many local artists, offering the notoriety of the singers sometimes unknown, in the first place, Sinead O’connor, whose trajectory is marked by Nothing Compares 2 U . Prince has also worked with Chaka Khan ( I Feel for You ), Sheena Easton ( Sugar Walls ) or Stevie Nicks ( Stand Back ) with, each time, in the key, a title in the top 10 in the United States. This is the second album posthumous Prince, after Piano and a Microphone 1983 , a working paper released last year with the permission of the heirs of the singer.
The album will be available exclusively starting June 7th, the anniversary of the Prince, for two weeks on the platform of online music Tidal, which the rapper Jay-Z is the main shareholder. It will then be put online on the 21st of June on all of the other streaming services, available as a download but also sold in CD. A vinyl version will be released in July.
